With a strong focus on senior and middle level sales professionals, Shevik employs a tested approach to the search process.
Understanding Client Objectives and Differentiators
No search would succeed without the search firm getting a thorough understanding of the client objectives and its key differentiators. This would happen through a series of meetings and discussions and also researching all secondary data available on the client like annual reports, chairman's speech, analyst briefings etc.
Developing the “Search Brief” and expected timelines
To ensure that we are completely in synch with the client we prepare a “Search Brief” that defines the following:
Client Objectives & Differentiators
Position description
Expected emoluments
Target candidate profiles
Target companies
In addition the desired timelines are detailed out in discussion with the client
Screening and shortlisting candidates
Using its extensive database and network, target candidates are identified from target or similar companies. These target candidates would be extensively screened by Shevik so that only the most qualified ones are presented to the client. In some cases we may go back to the “Search Brief” and modify some of the elements of the search in consultation with the client
Submission of candidates and interviews
A key goal for Shevik is to minimize the “conversion ratio” which we define as the ratio of selected candidates to submitted candidates. Hence only the most qualified candidates will be submitted to out clients, and those with a high likelihood of achieving a cultural fit into the client organization
After submission and preliminary shortlisting by our clients, we facilitate face to face interviews. Our preference is to not be a part of these interviews so that there is a high degree of ownership in the selection decision for our clients.
Selection and contract negotiation
Once a candidate is selected we will assist the client in negotiating the salary and other terms and conditions with the selected candidate.
Post closure feedback and follow-up
This is a critical element of our quality and continuous improvement process. We strive to get active feedback from our customers of what their experiences were with the search that Shevik conducted. We then try to use this to drive changes to our processes to ensure higher quality levels. We also follow up with both our clients and the candidates to ensure that the both parties are satisfied with the outcome and assist in solving the initial teething problems that often cause early separation.
